About

Beatcheck injects life into Milton Keynes’s hidden cultural scene – helping to re-educate the people of the city to the ways of urban culture; guiding lost souls toward the love, life and lunacy that exists in our concrete jungle; and redirecting misguided beings towards a bright, happy culturally-educated city life.

Beatcheck shows Milton Keynes that deep dark and dirty is better than cheap, quick and nasty and convinces everyone to get deep, down and dirty with us in our caravan of love.

    Keynes is NOT a city.

    It’s a new town.

    End of.

Recently moved to Milton Keynes from Luxembourg and Dublin before that! Was wondering if there’s much of a house/techno scene here. I’ve been djing for over 12 years misss playing on a regualr basis, so any pointers about future night etc would be very welcome!

To be fair with the remarks of Primark, Our main city centre has never had much independance our city has always had mass production of every thing, including bars i.e. weatherspoons (there are 4 in the city centre!) to clothes shops, the rent has always been to expensive in cmk for little boutiques, hence why stony stratford, wovlerton, olney and other places provide more diversity and originality, but it is a fair comment that once the market has gone there will be no originaltiy in CMK

    Hey S Lane,
    All true.

Do you think CMK should make more space available to independents, or do you think that’s what makes the smaller places so special?

It’s a fine line isn’t it? But wouldn’t it be great to see some true personal originality within the walls of CMK.
